From the little fishing village of Augusta, Italy, Guiseppe Zanti, Sr., in 1898, ventured to America seeking the fertile fishing grounds that he had heard about from brave fishermen that had gone before. He spent several decades fishing from Georges Bank to the Gulf of Alaska. Guiseppeā€™s stories of fishing intrigued his son Guiseppe Jr. and in 1921 he also ventured to America to make a better future for his family. Guiseppe Jr. started fishing for lobsters, crabs, and fish in the Boston Harbor area through the 1920?s and 1930?s teaching his sons as they grew up, the art of fishing.
