Opened in 1995, the Rendezvous is a partnership between Chef Kathryn Bliss and Hosts Tom and Susie Anderson. All longtime Hoodland area residents, the trio recognized the need for a quality restaurant in the growing but largely rural area. With innovative food at reasonable prices, the Rendezvous has actually become a destination for curious Portlanders and discerning local diners. Chef/Co-owner Kathryn Bliss designs innovative, seasonal menus using many local products, including chanterelle mushrooms and huckleberries. The Rendezvous has developed a reputation for devastating desserts, all prepared freshly in-house.
