Weekly on Wednesday nights, 7-9pm. Beginning August 1st, Wednesday Night Kirtan will be at Bend Community Healing. Kirtan is devotional group singing. It is yoga for the heart, which aims to connect us with our divine, inner nature and the one spirit that unites us all. Bring your heart & voice and join our growing community for a night of bhakti and sacred song. No singing or musical experience necessary. If you have a rattle or play the flute or another wind instrument, bring your instruments along! Each night will also include an improvisational chant and we hope for your participation. The regular/weekly Wednesday Night Kirtan Band (when we aren't hosting guests) consists of some or all of local musicians:
Kat Rose (Vocals, Guitar & Harmonium)
Julie Southwell (Violin)
David Watts (Bass)
Jenni Peskin (Vocals & Harmonium)
Balaram Chandra Das (Mridangam)
Todd Krake (Vocals & Percussion)
Private Sound Journey Sessions
Sound Wave Bed, Crystal Bowls & Gong Session, w/ Kat Rose & Shireen Amini. To schedule with kat & shireen: balanceisbliss@gmail.com, 310.883.4384.
Re-tune, Realign and Harmonize Imbalances on the Physical, Mental and Emotional Levels.
Like a boat surfing on waves of sound and vibration, the Soundwave bed carries you along a journey that is hard to describe. The bed has 40 Monochord strings one side and a bass tongue drum on the other. With a crystal bowl at your head and a gong at your feet, you will float like a wave in an ocean of sound. Sound and vibration can help to alleviate pain and discomfort, inviting deep relaxation and relief. This enables the body to make the shifts necessary for healing to take place on all levels.

Practicing with the Seasons: Restorative & Yin Yoga, Meditation & Energy Practices for Fall
10 Wednesdays this Fall, Time: 4:00-5:15pm. September 19th through November 21st. Location: Blissful Heart (29 NW Greeley Ave.). Join Bre Hibbs and Sol Alchemy for a 10-week series (drop-ins also welcome!) designed to bring all of our Selves, parts, systems and rhythms back into closer alignment and coherence with the season of Fall and its guiding energies, elements and teachings. The series - offered once per season - is a restorative and yin yoga practice that also incorporates mindfulness and meditation practices, food and herbal 'encounters' (sensory/taste experiences, teas, spices, essential oils and flower essences) and energy tools from diverse traditions (e.g, Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, Donna Eden energy medicine, etc.). All of these are woven into an experience of getting up close and personal with Fall each week - both the ways Fall lives within us, and the ways we can learn from what She is showing us in the external world. Each practice in the series will 'treat' a combination of our: physical bodies, organ systems, hormones, nervous system, minds/mental body, hearts/emotional body, energy body (e.g., chakras, meridians, electromagnetic field), Soul and/or Spirit. There will be opportunities to participate in a Fall recipe swap, as well as to commit to Fall-inspired 'homework' in between classes (up to each practitioner, of course)! In our modern-world and current culture, we are living amidst and with a tremendous amount of 'disruption.' Everything from climate change and our nation's political landscape, to unprecedented levels of toxins entering our food, water and air sources - not to mention the disruption caused by WiFi and cell phone tower frequencies - are having impacts on our health and wellbeing both as individuals and as communities. In the lineage I've been raised up in - which is nothing 'new' at all, and in fact, is ancient wisdom held and practiced in and across indigenous and spiritual traditions across the globe - one of the first 'interventions' that immediately begins restoring health/lifeforce to our whole Being is re-aligning with natural cycles and rhythms. I hope you'll join me for all or part of this deep dive into Fall. Investment Options: $108 for the whole series; $15 drop in; Sol Alchemy punchcard (s)
Flexible Investment / Payment Structure (s) Available
Commit to and register for the whole 10-week series: $108 (register here, or cash/check/card accepted upon arrival; includes a custom-blended flower essence formula* for the Fall season with instructions on what flowers are included, how to use it and what the benefits are). Drop in to any one or more classes for $15 (register here, or cash/check/card accepted upon arrival). Use any pre-purchased Sol Alchemy classes to drop in (call Bre, 541-285-4972, or just show up and we will work it out)! Use the amount leftover from any pre-purchased Sol Alchemy classes/punchcards toward the price of this series (call Bre, 541-285-4972, or just show up and we will work it out)!
Heart Coherence: Practices & Benefits
(4-hour workshop) with Breyn Hibbs.
Heart Coherence: Practices & Benefits
Sunday, October 7th. Time: 11:00am-3:00pm. Our hearts are covered by a membrane containing nearly 40,000 neurons - the same category of cells that make up our brains. Thus, our hearts are intelligent beings - able not only to feel, but to think, learn and guide our behaviors, as well. Come learn heart meditation practices and how to achieve the state called heart coherence - the measurable synchronization of our physical, mental and emotional states. With nearly 15 years of research from the Institute of HeartMath behind it, this practice and the state of heart coherence have been proven, time and again, to have profound physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits. We can achieve many of these benefits by practicing for just 10 minutes per day. This workshop is for you if you are someone who wants to learn not only a new technique/practice but also the science behind why it works and the possibilities for improving your health and life using it. What to bring: A journal or notebook. Snacks for yourself for a short break halfway through. And a special or sacred item representing what it means to you to 'live with an open heart'.
