Beer's been around for a long time, but most of us are just getting to know it. At Social Kitchen & Brewery, we're excited about learning more about beer, and we're excited to share in the experience. SKB is the perfect place to experience beer: our beer is brewed onsite, it's woven throughout our menu, and it's the inspiration for everything we do. Brewmaster Rich Higgins is excited to share his passion and knowledge about beer. As the brewmaster, he understands the process from recipe design and raw ingredients to fermented beer and the best way to taste it. And as a certified cicerone, he has studied the history of beer styles and their ability to pair perfectly with food. He's careful not to forget that it's the yeast that's really in charge of the beer, though. "It's me that works for the yeast, not the other way around," he says. "Yeast has been fermenting beer for way longer than I've been around, and it'll carry on long after I'm gone. I'm just happy to be around for a little window of it, trying to influence a bit of the results."
