Other Info
There are many different groups who travel together.
There are Clubs, Churches, Missionaries, and Students as well as Associations, but I’m seeing a HUGE increase in the multi-generational family groups such as Individual Families and Family Reunions. Families and friends are seeing that their leisure time is so precious and that they need to make the most out of. You just can’t beat those family memories!
I’m also seeing more companies who will use a group travel opportunity, such as a European River Cruise, as a way to have fun while presenting Continuing Education Seminars on board.
This is very appealing to participants and the value is outstanding! All the logistics and meals are taken care of…they just make is so darn easy!
Questions That We Have Answered
What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
You should find out if the Travel Advisor is a specialist in the destination that you’re looking at, what training they have received and how long ago it was. You would also want to know how many passengers they have sent, what kind of relationship they have with the travel vendor, and if they have experienced the product themselves. It’s not always possible for Travel Advisors to personally visit each destination, but if possible, you want somebody who is familiar with where you want to go or has contacts available to them.
If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
Yes, being flexible will sometimes help you get a better value for your money. Sometimes flexibility isn’t possible, but make sure you ask! What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you? Make sure that the Travel Advisor that you speak with asks you A LOT of questions. They should want to know why you’re taking the trip, where you’ve been before and what you liked and didn’t like about it. The more that they know about you, your likes and dislikes, the better they can help you book YOUR perfect travel experience!
