The Shamus Restaurant is situated in a charming old house in downtown Lockport. This 150 year old home was converted into a restaurant in 1973. The Gaelic name Shamus comes from the former owner, James Murphy, who established his original Lockport restaurant in 1950. The Shamus Restaurant offers a wide variety of contemporary cuisine, including house specialties, to satisfy every taste. The bar area has a local Lockport, traditional Irish decor. The dining rooms have an intimate, "fine dining" atmosphere.
