After years of moving from kitchen to kitchen, Chef Sal Impastato decided it was time to do something different. Chef Impastato opened Sal and Judy's in Lacombe, Louisiana in 1974. His influences include a blend of French, Spanish, French Caribbean, African and American style cuisine. At a young age, Chef Impastato was introduced to the traditional Sicilian ways of cooking and over the years has perfected his style of homemade cuisine made with fresh ingredients. The success of Sal and Judy's restaurant is apparent in it's loyal customer base and sizable dinner crowds, despite it's rather remote location. Customers arrive from all over South Louisiana to get a taste of where Creole Italian has been perfected.
