Ryles Jazz Club is a Cambridge institution, owned and operated by the Mitchell/Wheeler family. This ownership benefits Ryles by its association with the S&S Restaurant, a Cambridge tradition, located in Inman Square since 1919.
With the S & S Restaurant as its standard, the Mitchell/Wheeler family, now in its fifth generation of restaurateurs, has re-established Ryles Jazz Club as a genuine fun-filled jazz venue offering “the best in live music”. After acquiring over the club in 1994, Gary Mitchell oversaw an extensive renovation and unveiled to the public, one of the most attractive and intimate jazz clubs in the city.
Ryles is not your typical jazz venue. The club boasts two floors, which allows it to be the most diverse of any club in its genre. At Ryles Jazz Club, you can enjoy the “the best in live music”, including major, national performers such as Arturo Sandoval, McCoy Tyner, Maynard Ferguson, Jon Hendricks, Jon Faddis or Nestor Torres, just to name a few. Ryles has also become a “hotbed” for terrific local talent, who use Ryles’s intimate setting and ambiance to move on to the national scene.
