By the early 20th century, York, Pennsylvania was a thriving, progressive city, having experienced tremendous growth in agriculture, industry, and commerce. This growth called for a hotel facility worthy of York's stature, and in 1925, The Yorktowne Hotel was lovingly built and proudly opened its doors for business.
