About Us
In 1993, Michael Poklasny and Michael Kahl opened Michaels’ Salon at 1021 West New York Avenue. From its inception, Michaels’ Salon has taken great pride for it’s “one on one” personal service and home-like feel of the salon environment. In February of 2005, Michael’s Salon continued its tradition of personal service and grew into Michaels’ Salon & Suites LLC at 1500 Oregon Street. Even with doubling the size of the business, the new space manages to keep the small, intimate feel of our first salon. Michaels’ Salon continues to be owned and operated by Kahl and Poklasny, who combined have over 67 years in the cosmetology business and are affectionately known as “The Michaels” to most of their clientele. For 22 years we have continued the tradition of "one on one" personalized service for each client. We have never advertised our business because we firmly believe the quality of our work, the honesty of our consultations, and the personalization of each service is our advertising and is what has kept us in the " business of hair" for 22 years.
