The Lake House was built in 1843 on the shores of Canadarago Lake as a lodge for people looking for a place to relax, fish, hunt and get away from city life. It is one of the oldest continually operating establishments in upstate New York and once was the summer home of the gangster Jack "Leggs" Diamond during Prohibition when it was a Speakeasy. It now is the perfect place for a relaxing meal overlooking the lake or a great over night get away spot.
