After Graduating from The Culinary Institute of America in 1981, and completing a baking and pastry apprenticeship at the famed "Patisserie Bonte" in Manhattan, I opened Jean Marie Patisserie in 1989 in Garden City. I built my reputation on offering only the highest quality product, and superb customer service. It did not take long for Jean Marie to achieve success, and maintain our high standard of excellence for over sixteen years. After losing my lease in 2004, I decided to step back from the physical demands and long hours that this type of business puts forth on ones mind and body.
After a brief hiatus of exploring other avenues of the food industry, my passion and love for the baking industry could not be tamed. I am thrilled and excited at the opportunity of returning to Long Island, creating my wonderful French style of pastries, cakes cookies. I have also decided to add in a gourmet blend of European and American cuisine that is simple and delicious. An extensive menu that ranges from delicious burgers made from seasoned Black Angus lean ground beef that is hand shaped and charbroiled to order, to grilled salmon, seafood crepes and everything in between. The atmosphere is warm and inviting that has the feel and flavor of a of a cozy Parisian Bistro. I look forward to once again creating a standard of excellence at Jean Marie Patisserie and Bistro that my past customers are familiar with and all my new customers will become accustomed to.
