Gateway Lodge Luxury Suites

Gateway Luxury Suites are perfect for a romantic getaway stay, a "self pampering" weekend, an active Cook Forest outdoor experience, or a quiet, inspirational time away.

Each suite features a gas fireplace with fireside Jacuzzi, a spacious bathroom with dual sinks, a sofa and mini-fridge.

Most rooms have king-sized beds and private balconies, yet do not include a television.

If this is important to the enjoyment of your stay, please make a special request for a Suite with a TV upon reservation.

Lodging in our suites includes a gourmet breakfast each morning of your stay, a snack basket, afternoon tea and snack, plush robes, and toiletries.

On Friday evenings, a wine and appetizer reception replaces our afternoon tea and provides an opportunity to sample great wines from Gateway's wine list.

Check-in is from 4-9 pm on day of arrival.

Gateway Lodge Weddings

You want your wedding to be a simple, stress-free celebration, and that's where the Gateway staff shines!

Our warm hospitality and attention to detail makes Gateway a great wedding destination. Whether you choose to share your special day with a small group of family and friends, or you want a larger gathering to help celebrate your special day, Gateway Lodge is the perfect choice. We can serve up to 175 guests with an outdoor reception and from 40 to 100 inside the Lodge; "prix fixe" menus and bar services make everything clear and upfront with no surprises afterward.

Elopement Package

A package for two guests (may add up to 10 guests).

You've decided on an intimate wedding with just the two of you. So, the day begins with his-and-her massages.

Later, you join the officiant and a witness in your choice of scenic settings, like our Great Room, for your marriage vows. After you enjoy a romantic candle-lit dinner and intimate conversation, the two of you retire to your room appointed with champagne, roses and a basket of pampering Aveda soaps and lotions. It's a no-fuss wedding and honeymoon wrapped up into one!

Wedding Weekend Package

Celebrate your union with a wedding and reunion of your favorite people all wrapped into a 2-night, 3-day weekend celebration!

Friday evening, arrive to a welcome reception in our Great Room with complimentary wine and appetizer. As evening falls, retire to Luxury Suites, each with a two-person Jacuzzi and a romantic fireplace. Saturday morning, awake to breakfast in our cozy log cabin dining room. Guests can venture outdoors to hike the Cook Forest Cathedral, float down the Clarion River, or stay in and enjoy a massage at our on-site spa. With late afternoon comes your ceremony as everyone gathers to support your union. Your "I do's" and everyone's congratulations are followed by a wedding dinner in our intimate dining rooms. The celebration continues through the evening with gatherings in our Great Room, at our Small-Batch Bar, in our Billiards Room or around a glowing campfire. At the end of the night, drift away to your nearby Suite. Awake the next morning to finish your weekend with a couples massage in The Woods Spa followed by breakfast with your friends and family.

Guests are encouraged to notify our culinary team of any dietary restrictions prior to their reservation. At check-in, please reserve your breakfast seating time. Gateway Rustic Cabins

Escape to the quiet of the woods for a weekend or a week-long stay in one of our six cozy, rustic cabins, each with an outdoor fire ring and picnic area. Cabins sleep from two to six persons. And most include kitchens and comfortable living rooms. Linens are provided. All cabin with kitchens include cooking utensils, tableware and serving dishes. 1/8th cord of firewood is also provided as part of your stay. Additional firewood may be purchased at Main Lodge. While our cabins are not air-conditioned, they are shaded by surrounding trees. When you stay at a Gateway Cabin, prepare to disconnect from being easily accessible as cabins do not have WiFi, cell phone reception or telephones in them. While some love being away from their phones, we are happy to provide a phone at the lodge in case you need to use one. Please also prepare for possible encounters with our woodland creatures. While utmost care goes into the maintenance of our facilities, on a rare occasion a mouse or squirrel may come for a visit. And bear, raccoons, and deer have been known to go grazing through our woods.

Ideal for a family or corporate retreat, Black Bear Cabins, our sister property, features four cozy, well-appointed Retreat Cabins featuring wood burning fireplaces, TV and Wi-Fi, private decks, outdoor campfires, picnic areas, and secluded scenic views. Here, you'll find plenty of reasons to venture outdoors. Float down the Clarion River. Hike along ancient growth trails in Cook Forest. Or climb boulders at Clear Creek State Park. Policy

Reservation Policy

A minimum of 2 nights is required for weekend stays (Friday/Saturday), a 3 night minimum is required on Columbus Day Weekend, President's Day Weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, Fourth of July Weekend, Thanksgiving Weekend, and Labor Day Weekend. Weekly reservations may start on a Friday, Sunday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. An upcharge of $35 is added to any single night weekday stays. 1/2 of the total stay is required as a deposit. Should you need to cancel, please do so two weeks prior to reservation to receive a deposit refund, otherwise your deposit will be forfeited. "No shows" will be responsible for full payment of cabin reservation.

No Smoking or Pets Policy

Smoking and pets are prohibited in cabins.

Check-In Guarantee

At Gateway, we strive to ensure satisfaction. Upon Check-in, if you are not fully satisfied with your accommodation, your deposit can be fully refunded to you upon initial inspection. After moving your items in or choosing to stay, you will be held responsible for payment. This policy is set in place to express our commitment to your satisfaction.

TOWELS & WASHCLOTHS: Please place all used towels and washcloths in the tub or shower stall.

Scheduling Your Appointment

Please give at least a one-week advance reservation for any of our services. This ensures you will receive the treatment you want as close to your preferred time as possible. For reservations and information, please call Gateway Lodge at 1.800.843.6862.

Arrival Time

We recommend reserving your appointments prior to your arrival at The Woods Spa at Gateway Lodge. We also suggest you arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. Arriving late will deprive you of treatment time.

Apparel During Treatment

All of our clients are professionally draped at all times. Please discuss any clothing concerns with your therapist if necessary.

Medical Conditions or Allergies

If you have any allergies or medical conditions, please discuss this with your therapist before treatment has begun. You should also let the staff know when you make your reservation. A handwritten doctor's consent is required for any serious medical conditions or if you are pregnant.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation 24 hours prior to treatment will result in 50% of the full service rate charged to your account. Less than 24 hours will result in full charge.
