G&A opened its door in 1927 by Andy Farantos' grandfather. Back then, our restaurant was one of the most famous places in Baltimore to go get a hot dog (for only 15 cents) and a milkshake. Today, G&A is the home of Baltimore's best Coney Island hot dogs, Coney burgers, and so much more. G&A originates from the initials of Andy's family; Gregory and Alex Diacumacos. Andy's father, "Little Jimmy" Farantos, and his uncle, "Big Jimmy" Mexis owned the restaurant before Andy became owner.
