About Us

East Boulevard Bar & Grill was opened in 1985 at 1601 East Boulevard, on the corner of Garden Terrace and East Boulevard. It quickly became a popular neighborhood spot where you could grab a great bite to eat, watch a game and see friends. EBB&G also established itself as a watering hole for the Dilworth residents and surrounding neighborhoods.

The restaurant was known for a casual atmosphere with a simple menu made from fresh ingredients. It was a true “neighborhood place”. The restaurant marked its place in the community not only through great food, cold drinks and great service but it also became involved in the community by sponsoring Dilworth Little League teams, neighborhood gatherings and short distance running events in the area. At one point, there was even an East Boulevard Bar & Grill 5K and 10K race.

Frank and Peaches Deal bought East Boulevard Bar & Grill in December 2002. With a commitment to keeping the neighborhood tradition, they expanded the menu and bar to continue the tradition of quality ingredients, cold beverages and great service in the old house at 1601 East Boulevard.

In 2009, East Boulevard Bar & Grill relocated to 1315 East Boulevard, Suite 130 in the Latta Pavilion Building between Kenilworth and Scott Avenues after Carolinas Medical Center purchased the old property. With new décor, flat Screen TVs, roll up windows and the coldest beer in town, EBB&G reopened. Adding a new chef to the staff, East Boulevard Bar & Grill has continued the traditions started in 1985. East Boulevard Bar & Grill remains the oldest restaurant on East Boulevard and remains a favorite spot for the locals!
