Foundations
This class is designed to teach the basic principles of yoga in a Down To Earth way for all to enjoy from the ground up. This class will help you build a solid, safe yoga practice. Steady Comfortable postures (Sthira Sukham Asanam).Pranayama (breath work), alignment and relaxation will be offered. This class will guide the student from posture to breath awareness then back to body awareness. At some point the student will be guided slowly into the inner awareness of the thoughts. Class ends with a relaxing meditation.
Hatha Yoga
HathaYoga: Is the most widely practiced form of yoga in America. It is the branch of yoga which concentrates on physical health and well being. This class offers the student to connect with the posture, (asanas), breathing techniques and meditation to create a healthy body and clear and peaceful mind.
Yoga I
This class includes foundational postures, pranayama, stretching, balance and relaxation. This practice can also be beneficial to those who already are quite fit but who lack overall flexibility. This class will provide balance and modifications that allow you to make the postures your own experience.
Restorative Yoga
A gentle practice with simple postures to promote healing to the body and mind. This practice includes gentle warm ups, lymphatic stimulation, and restorative poses with props (blocks, bolsters and blankets).
Yin Yoga
This is a slow paced style where the postures are held for longer periods of time. Five minutes or more per pose is typical. Yin gets to the connective tissue levels of the body, the tendons, fascia, and ligaments, in order to increase circulation in the joints and improve joints and flexibility. This class is a more meditative approach to yoga.
Slow Flow Exploration
A fluid practice developing proper asanam alignment and breathing techniques.This class is designed to explore the Vinyasa practice by offering blocks and props to find the Steady comfortable posture. Class builds from the ground up to find the inner body awareness, the breath is the guide as you will be directed back to the breath and body awareness in order to build and hold the asanam. Gentle Yoga
Gentle Yoga - The key to right teaching is in the adaptation of yoga to the individual, not the individual to yoga… the whole spectrum of yoga practice must be carefully adapted to the individual's situation.
