Burrito Loco was founded in 2002 by two U of M grads who didn't want to get real jobs. They sold their cars, saved their money, and each applied for as many credit cards as they could get. Armed with a sawzall and a salsa recipe, they worked hard to open the original location at the end of a hallway at 1316 4th St. SE in Dinkytown (The building is between the Loring Pasta Bar and the Varsity Theater.)Two and half years later, die-hard Burrito Loco fans were thrilled when the business moved into the sports bar around the corner. Sixteen beers on tap, a full bar and a great patio made the transition easy. Their goal is to make Burrito Loco the perfect combination between a full service college bar and a laid back burrito joint.
