Blossom Trails Golf Club history begins in the late 1950's with the Graber Family when they asked Bruce Matthews to design and create a golf course on what used to be just farm and field. It began with a 9-hole regulation, 9-hole Par-3 course and driving range that was opened in 1958. By 1961, Benton Harbor saw the completion of the back 9-hole regulation course giving "The Trails" a full 27-holes of golf enjoyment to the community. The Graber's wanting Blossom Trails Golf Club to be more, went on to add lights to the Par-3 course and Driving Range in 1963. The course was sold in 1970 to Golf Professional Gaylon "Tex" Simon and his wife, Aurora, who operated it until 1986.
