Bellota means "acorn," in Portuguese or Spanish. The name is our tribute to our featured ham, Pata Negra. Pata Negra ham comes from Iberian black footed free range pigs that are fed only acorns, so the meat is naturally delicious. Bellota is Chef Anthony Goncalves way of reminiscing with diners his childhood memories of eating at Portuguese tascas and Spanish tapas bars. But of course, Chef Goncalves brings us tapas HIS way, a much more modern and progressive version of tapas food, still with the same great taste. Bellota gives diners of 42 not only a choice of two difference menus to eat from, but two different atmospheres. 42 serving a fine dinning menu, along with a fine dinning ambiance and experience. Bellota's tapas menu comes with a more casual, sexy and fun experience (not to mention affordable!). Bellota offers a wide variety of seating; bar seating where there is a smoking balcony. The lounge has comfy couches that surround fire pit tables. Then the mezzanine dining room where you can sit at a communal table with a group, or a more intimate booth on a date. Reservations reccomended for groups bigger than 4. And as of recently, rotating DJ's from all over playing live in the lounge Thursday-Saturday nights from 8pm-close!
