starting with a "joint freeing" series to open and lubricate the joints, followed by gentle yoga postures and movement to release stress, unwind the body and calm the ever busy mind. we do some breath work, meditation and some restorative work as well.

Yoga Nidra
yogic sleep. you'll be guided in a meditaion while laying on your back. it's meant to bring your brain into a wave frequency that is actually slower than that of deep sleep. you'll notice on the night of the very first time you practice that your sleeping pattern will have been improved. this practice is considered to be a sister to meditation, in that it comes with all the benefits that meditation has to offer. you'll find that your thinking will be clearer, your mind calmer and moreover, your life will be more joyous.
The Sunflowers (ages 7-10)
this class will incorporate different themes. classes will begin with a discussion of a theme, followed by breathing techniques, asana instruction, guided rest and yoga journaling. these classes are designed to allow for self-improvement by allowing children to incorporate what they learn on the mat into their home and school life.
Embody Vinyasa - Level 2 & 3
using the traditional ashtanga vinyasa sequence as a loose template. providing modifications and variations as needed in each class. applying embodyoga priciples, making the sequence more managable and safer to produce a positive, more energetic result. the class is an hour and forty five minutes long, reserving the last half hour for finishing postures.
We're looking forward to the coming season; welcoming change and grateful that we can continue to offer classes. The space is small, intimate, and very conducive to yoga practice. Some have described it as being "cocoonesk" and I have to agree. We're a small community of folks just coming together to enjoy the practice of yoga. We've got talented, experienced teachers that guide you safely through the practice.
