Seven nights a week you can find 801 Chophouse's wait staff moving across wooden floors beneath dramatically-lit coiffured ceilings in St. Louis' high end suburb of Clayton. In this 1920's inspired steakhouse filled with leather booths and cherry wood furnishings, trays will be loaded with aged USDA Prime beef ONLY, nine creative potato preparations, dry-aged Iowa Duroc pork chops, and Colorado lamb. Of course you may find you are partial to a seat at the large 32-seat, oval-shaped bar, sipping a beverage from a list of classic cocktails. The menu, drink selection, and Wine Spectator-awarded wine list could accommodate months of exploration, and an ever-changing "fresh sheet" overflows with the jet-fresh seafood selections of the day.
